Michael Bowden Success!! (Boston Red Sox) - September 2nd, 2011
I sent Red Sox prospect Michael Bowden a baseball card, LOR and SASE. Recieved card signed and personalized today in SASE. I have seen Michael pitch multiple times at the Portland Sea Dogs (AA) whose stadium is about 45 minutes from my house. Card is signed in black sharpie. Looks great. sorry no scanner.

Kevin Youkilis (Boston Red Sox) semi-success... - July 2nd, 2011
I sent a LOR, 4x6 photo and SASE to Red Sox third baseman Kevin Youkilis at the spring training address(no longer valid until next year):

Received: 7/2/11
I received my 4x6 photo unsigned and a pre-print 4x6 photo back sent to me by the team. I also received a letter thanking me for being a fan and a 1x2 small cut out note that was separate from the letter which read: "I apologize, but due to such a high volume of mail, I am unable to personalize autographs to every fan." I wasn't really sure I would get anything back when I sent to him and just gave it a shot. He used to sign but not anymore it seems.

Strange John Lackey Failure (Boston Red Sox) - July 1st, 2011
Sometime shortly before the season started I sent a LOR, SASE, and baseball card to John Lackey at :

About a month and a half ago I got a letter back from the Red Sox in their own envelope. Inside it, was a generic letter from John Lackey saying how he can't respond to all his fanmail. At the end of the letter, he said I hope you enjoy my official team photo. The weird thing was that there was no photo enclosed and I didn't get my baseball card back.
Then today, (6-30-11) I received the same Red Sox envelope, with the same generic letter from Lackey, only this time I actually got the official team photo with a PP autograph on it and my baseball card back unsigned.
 -Would've much rather just had a RTS so I could've re-used my SASE. |
