Putter Smith Actor, Jazz Bass Player - February 2nd, 2018
Patrick "Putter" Smith (born January 19, 1941) is an American jazz bassist, recording artist, music teacher, author, and actor. He went on to perform with Thelonious Monk, Art Blakey, Duke Ellington, Billy Eckstine, Diane Schuur, Mason Williams, Percy Faith, Burt Bacharach, Ray Charles, The Manhattan Transfer, and Johnny Mathis. He also works as a session musician, playing on recordings by Sonny and Cher, The Beach Boys, The Righteous Brothers and many others. Smith has also taught at the Musician's Institute, and at the California Institute of the Arts.
Smith was playing with Monk at the Los Angeles jazz club, "Shelly's Manne-Hole", when he was spotted by director Guy Hamilton, who cast him as the assassin "Mr. Kidd" (alongside Bruce Glover as "Mr. Wint") in the 1971 James Bond film, Diamonds Are Forever. He went to have several other minor acting roles on film and television.
Sent him 2 photos on 12 Jan - One as Mr Kidd from Diamonds are Forever and one as a bass player.. He only signed the one with his bass.. returned both photos on 2 Feb.

Enes Kanter (Utah Jazz) Success - February 9th, 2015
On November 18, 2014, I sent a basketball card, LOR, and SASE to Utah Jazz player Enes Kanter. On February 9, 2015, I received my card back signed by Mr. Kanter. Autigraph is badly smudged.
