Katherine Whitton Baker (born June 8, 1950) is an American actress. Baker began her career in theater and made her screen debut in the 1983 drama film The Right Stuff. She received the National Society of Film Critics Award for Best Supporting Actress and an Independent Spirit Award nomination for her performance in Street Smart (1987). Baker also has appeared in over 50 films, including Jackknife (1989), Edward Scissorhands (1990), The Cider House Rules (1999), Cold Mountain (2003), Nine Lives (2005), The Jane Austen Book Club (2007), Last Chance Harvey (2008), Take Shelter (2011), Saving Mr. Banks (2013), and The Age of Adaline (2015).
On television, Baker starred as Dr. Jill Brock in the CBS drama series Picket Fences (19921996), for which she received three Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama and Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Awards. She later received three additional nominations and a Primetime Emmy Award for her performances in Touched by an Angel, Boston Public, and Door to Door. She starred opposite Tom Selleck in the Jesse Stone made-for-TV film series in the 2000s.

Kathy Baker SUCCESS!! - August 6th, 2019
I received an autograph from one of my favorite actresses: Kathy Baker.
I love her in the Jesse Stone movies on the Hallmark channel, and Netflix The Ranch.
I do believe she is in Edward Scissorhands, along with 13 Going on 30.
It is Authentic. I used the address in the database.
I received it yesterday, I sent the letter March 25, 2019 so it took 5-6 months to receive.
Someone in the post office ruined it alittle. not sure where, but it is the 2nd autograph in a row that arrived ruined. However
its not as bad as my Robert Clohessey autograph that I had to throw out.  |  |

Kathy Baker success - December 19th, 2013
Baker began her career at San Francisco's Magic Theatre, performing in several of Sam Shepard's plays before getting her break in an off-Broadway production of Fool for Love opposite Ed Harris. Her recent projects include All the King's Men (2006) and The Jane Austen Book Club (2007).
She has appeared in numerous films including Edward Scissorhands, The Right Stuff, Street Smart, Jacknife, Inventing the Abbotts and Cold Mountain. As a small-town doctor in the David E. Kelley television series Picket Fences she won Emmy awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series three times in the show's four-year run (1993, 1995 and 1996).
Baker later re-teamed with Kelley, appearing in Boston Public as a teacher named Meredith Peters. Baker guest-starred in the premiere episode of the eighth season of Law and Order: Criminal Intent, playing the role of an ambitious mother of a city politician with a dark family secret. She also had a recurring role in Medium as Allison DuBois's mother-in-law, and another one in Tom Selleck's periodic Jesse Stone crime dramas as Rose, a small-town police officer.
