Ex MLB pitcher "Ned Garver" success - September 5th, 2012 playing from 1948 to 1961 winning 129 games in his major league career. Most of his career was spent playing for perennial second-division teams like the St. Louis Browns and Kansas City Athletics. Garver remains the only pitcher in American League history and modern baseball history (post-1920) to win 20 or more games for a team which lost 100 or more games in the same season and the only pitcher in Major League history to do so with a winning record. Garver was the starting pitcher for the American League in the 1951 All-Star Game, which was held in Detroit. Following the 1951 season, Browns owner Bill Veeck made Garver the highest paid member of the team, with a salary of $25,000. Ned Garver(Original Los Angeles Angel) second success - November 15th, 2011 A few weeks back I posted about a success from Ned Garver original Los Angeles Angel. In that request I received an order form for a book that he wrote about baseball in the 40's and 50's. I ordered the book and last night I received my book inscribed to me and also with a photo copy it looks like of a hand drawn charicature of Mr Garver during his 20 game win season for the last place St Louis Browns in 1951. The picture was also inscribed to me and signed. Amazing success from a tremendous man and a true baseball legend

Ned Garver(Original Los Angeles Angel) - October 26th, 2011 On 10/17/11 I sent a letter a card and an sase to former MLB pitcher and Original member of the Los Angeles Angels Ned Garver. Yesterday I received my card signed(My card was from a stars of the game set from the early eigthies) in the mail plus he also sent out one of his a 1962 Topps signed as well. He also included an order form for his book about baseball in the 50's with a hand written letter as well. Awesome success for an Angels collector like myself.
